Susannah [2023] was an opera put on by UCL's Opera Society at the Bloomsbury Theatre. My role, as part of UCL's Stage Crew Society, was to help construct and paint the components of the set. This included a large amount of stairs and wood pieces that were to go on the stage to hide steel deck. This show presented many problems that had to be quickly solved in the workshop. The weight of the cross and the designs of the stage all had issues that we had to quickly correct as the sheer size of the set meant it would take time to build and so problems had to be solved fast so that the show would be ready to put on.
